A prophetic seminar by Orlando J. Boyd — The Replanted Man
When God Speaks Through Street Signs
There are moments in life when God speaks louder than our fears, our exhaustion, or the weight pressing on our chest. Sometimes He does it through Scripture, sometimes through a person… and sometimes through something as ordinary as a street sign.
This past year, during a difficult and disorienting season, the Lord began ministering to me in a way I’d never experienced before. I wasn’t sitting in a church, reading a devotional, or listening to a sermon.
I was driving.
And the streets themselves began to teach me.
I began noticing names—Summit, King’s Highway, Lovers Lane, Gaslight Street, Nightfall Drive—and each one carried a message that reached deeper than my emotions at the time.
Some streets were warnings, reflecting where my mind could have gone if I stayed in discouragement or despair.
Some streets were reminders, calling me back to identity, purpose, and spiritual clarity.
Some streets were prophetic, pointing to where God was leading me even when I didn’t feel strong enough to take another step.
And one revelation stood above them all:
The residue of the streets you walk will show up on your life.
The streets of heaven leave you shining with gold.
The streets of this world will try to leave you covered in soot.
But even in those moments when the world’s residue tried to cling to me, God lifted my head and reminded me that I am becoming, not buried.
And He reminded me that you can rise again… even from the very streets that were meant to break you.
This reflection became the foundation of a new teaching called “Message From the Streets”—a simple but profound look at how everyday life can become a classroom when your heart is listening.
I’ll be sharing the full message soon.
But for now, let this short reminder carry you:
Pay attention to the streets you’re on.
Some are warnings.
Some are invitations.
All of them can become revelation when God is the One interpreting the signs.
You’re not buried.
You’re becoming.
