It stemmed from a background check initiated by a privately owned company that had recently purchased part of the company I worked for several months ago. This check unearthed those paid and waived speeding tickets from 2021, casting a shadow over my otherwise exemplary record.

It’s crucial to note that my sales career involved very little driving, and when it did, it was predominantly on company property. The job performance required approximately 5-15% of driving to successfully fulfill my role. Despite this, the incident still had a significant impact on my employment status.
